Information on the Deutschland-Semesterticket 2025/26
The digital Germany semester ticket (Deutschlandsemesterticket):
The Germany semester ticket is only available as a digital Deutschlandsemesterticket for mobile devices (e.g. smartphone) and will be sent to your university (H-BRS) email. You can add it directly to the wallet app on your smartphone (Android or iOS). RIDE Ticketing <tickets@ride-ticketing.de> is expected to begin sending emails on 21 August 2025.
As soon as your ticket has been registered in the system of Stadtwerke Bonn – the university will send a notification to Stadtwerke Bonn about two to three times a week – you will automatically receive an email with a link to your personal barcode.
Important note:
Open the link in a browser on your smartphone and add the ticket to your wallet app. This step is only necessary once.
Following the successful link activation, your ticket will be automatically extended on a monthly basis until you leave the university for good.
Advantages of the mobile ticket:
- No registration required
- Convenience: ticket always at hand on your smartphone
- Quick access: easy and quick activation of the ticket
- Security: The card can no longer be lost or forgotten
- Sustainability: Supports environmentally responsible behaviour
- The ticket is automatically updated every month in the Wallet app
- Nextbike: A link to Nextbike is also possible with your mobile ticket. To do so, use the customer number indicated on the ticket.
- More than one mobile phone: The ticket can be linked to multiple mobile phones in the wallet. Simply open the initial email you received on the first mobile phone and the ticket can be relinked. You may, for example, forward the link to your private email address. This can only be realized because the tickets are not transferable and cannot be passed on to third parties.
What happens if your battery is empty or you forget your smartphone?

What to do if you encounter problems with the upload?
First, please check your re-registration status on Apollo https://apollo.h-brs.de/. If you have not re-registered for the 2025/26 winter semester, please check whether there is a re-registration block and clarify the reason for the block so that it may be eliminated. If you have any questions, please contact Student Services at studierendenservice@h-brs.de.
If you have re-registered for the winter semester 2025/26, please check your university (H-BRS) email. The email from Stadtwerke Bonn may be in your spam folder.
