Digital Internationalisation of the Faculties (DIF)

The project "Digital Internationalisation of the Faculties" (DIF) strengthens the expansion of digital courses in English throughout H-BRS.

Digital internationalisation plays a significant role in the internationalisation strategy of H-BRS. Digital tools allow distances to be overcome across borders without leaving the campus (virtual mobility). In the university development plan  3 (2021-2025) we have made a plan to develop and test digital formats and suitable methods in teaching, research, transfer and administration. In this way, we enable more and more university members to cooperate across borders and develop international skills.

Less than 10% of the students at the H-BRS take advantage of the outgoing offers of our university. 90% of our students cannot go abroad, for example for financial, family or health reasons. Digital internationalisation is intended to offer them the opportunity to train their international and intercultural skills. In addition, participation in digital international formats can break down barriers to mobility and create interest in participating in a physical international exchange program.

With DIF, an extensive range of English-language digital, faculty-specific events is created with which our students can gain international experience, practice digital collaboration skills and acquire ECTS. In these events, H-BRS students learn together with students from partner universities and other foreign students without leaving their home workplace (virtual mobility).

Digital International General Studies

The Digital International General Studies, "DISG" for short, with its digital courses offers the opportunity to attend interdisciplinary courses in different disciplines and thus further develop international and intercultural skills.

In addition to courses from the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, courses from international partner universities are also offered.
