Parent-child workroom

You have no care for your child? Your child's caregiver has suddenly fallen ill or school is cancelled on the floating vacation, but you have to do some work that cannot be postponed...

For these emergency situations, our parent-child workroom - one each for the Sankt Augustin and Rheinbach locations - is available to you.

The room is equipped with a networked PC workstation and has a play and quiet corner for children.

Students or employees of Bonn-Rhine-Sieg University of Applied Sciences can book the parent-child workroom (EKA) via SIS (Student Information System) or DIAS (Database Information Filing System). You will receive the key at the reception. By using the EKA, users agree to the rules of use. The duty to supervise the child in care is incumbent on the parent or legal guardian present.

Mobile Kids Box for the office

As an alternative to the EKA, the Equal Opportunity Office offers the Kids Box. Mobile children's rooms (KidsBoxes) are available for loan in rooms B 291 and G 106, on the Sankt Augustin campus and soon also in room G 003 in Rheinbach, for employees with childcare shortages. These can be rolled into other offices as needed. The keys to the KidsBoxes are available at the reception desk, where the borrowing time is entered in a list.

In Sankt Augustin, the EKA is located in room C 003, tel. +49 2241 865 451, near the reception and directly next to the Equality Office.

The EKA in room G 003 (G building) in Rheinbach is expected to be available again in mid-February 2024.
