Information about the progress of study

During the basic year (semester 1+2) the students are lectured in mathematical-scientific basics, basic knowledge of construction, mechanic, information and material science, applied engineering software and English.

In the following year (semester 3+4) students can choose their study extension: either mechatronics or product development. Accompanying to this there are elective subjects in engineering science and practical orientated projects ("block-weeks"). Furthermore the focus is on getting interdisciplinary qualifications in social and economic topics.

The 5. semester is a practically orientated semester in a company followed by the focus year (semester 6+7). According to the study extension the students chose in semester 2 there will be a professional-theoretical funding, an increase of applied project work and the gain of further key qualifications.

Within the 7. semester the practical orientated bachelor thesis should be written and the students finish their studies by having an colloquium to defend their thesis and get the "Bachelor of Engineering" (B.Eng.).
