In cooperation with the Rhein-Sieg district, the Equal Opportunities Office supports female pupils from the 8th grade onwards in developing their career aspirations in the school project “Pupils' Research Year”.

The aim is to overcome barriers and discover an interest in computer science and technology. The kick-off event is on 29.8.2024 at the H-BRS. Over the course of the 2024/2025 school year, 24 girls from different schools will then tinker and program during three-day “Hackdays” at H-BRS. They will use digital and technical solutions to find improvements for everyday school life. The aim is also to get the young women excited about future careers in the STEM sector: Participation in at least one of three zdi-BSO-MINT measures is about early career and study orientation.
