  • Structure and function of networked computer systems
  • Principles of programming and system development
  • Mathematical and theoretical foundations of information science

Mandatory and elective courses (e.g. information systems, system development, project management, quality assurance, distributed architectures and distributed algorithms, artificial intelligence, information and knowledge management, embedded systems, simulation, law and information security, starting a company)

Selection of a study focus, currently

Other, especially interdisciplinary, study focuses may be selected after individual consultation. If bio-medical informatics, information science for business, or another interdisciplinary focus is selected, then courses from the interdisciplinary subject must be chosen as electives.

Project phase, thesis

Immediately after the course phase of the 4th semester and at the beginning of the 6th semester, a supervised 10 week project phase takes place, either inside or outside the university. This is usually used as the basis for the bachelor's thesis at the end of the 6th semester.
