Cyber Security Rumble 2023
The Cyber Security Rumble (CSR) is a competition in the field of information security, based on Jeopardy CTF (Capture The Flag). The competition took place from 28 to 30 September at BaseCamp Bonn. 9 teams with 6 players each took part.
The teams had to solve challenges from a variety of categories, e.g. crypto, network, reversing, web, mobile, pwning or forensics.
Almost all challenges of the CTF were provided by RedRocket, the team of H-BRS.
In addition to the CTF itself, there were also partner challenges provided by Nviso, Atruvia, IABF and Commerzbank.
The winning teams of the CSR finals are in
1st place Team polyflag (ETHZ & EPFL) from Switzerland with 6337 points,
2nd place Team __watermelon_chk_fail (LUH) from Germany with 5449 points and
3rd place Team cscg (Cyber Security Challenge) from Germany with 4721 points.
The winning teams of the Partner Challenges are in
1st place team cscg (Cyber Security Challenge) from Germany with 1325 points,
2nd place team h4tum (TU Munich) from Germany with 1175 points and
3rd place team polyflag (ETHZ & EPFL) from Switzerland with 1150 points.
