Welcome back: Prof. Dr Thomas Djotio Ndié visits the Department of Computer Science
This connection with H-BRS goes back more than ten years: as early as 2015, Thomas Djotio Ndié conducted research at the university on several occasions as a Humboldt Fellow. His latest visit provided an opportunity to rekindle long-standing contacts and initiate new collaborations.
The focus of his current research visit was the topic ‘Explainable Evaluation of Meaningful Connectivity in Low-Resource Educational Services’. The aim is to investigate how reliably digital educational services function in environments with limited technical infrastructure, and to identify the criteria by which their quality and availability can be assessed in a transparent manner.
In doing so, he also drew on current developments within the department, in particular the expansion of digital examination formats. He examined the conditions that must be met to ensure that digital teaching and examination programmes function reliably, even under limited technical and infrastructural conditions. Another key focus was on the question of which parameters are crucial in the event of a fault and how these can be assessed in a transparent manner.
‘We are always delighted to have Thomas here at the department. He always brings a lot of enthusiasm and, above all, fresh ideas,’ says Prof. Dr Michael Rademacher, Professor of Computer Science, specialising in embedded systems and networks. Further visits are already being planned.
