Strengthening Ties in Research, Education and Academic Mobility (STREAM)
As part of the DAAD-funded project ‘Strengthening Ties in Research, Education and Academic Mobility’ (STREAM), Bonn-Rhine-Sieg University of Applied Sciences (H-BRS) is systematically expanding its cooperation with the University of New Brunswick (UNB) in Canada. The aim of the project is to deepen the existing partnership, promote academic mobility and intensify joint activities in teaching, research and administration. In the long term, UNB is to be established as a strategic partner of H-BRS in order to strengthen the international orientation of both universities sustainably.
Aims of the project
- Increasing student mobility from UNB to H-BRS:
Due to different semester times, student mobilities from Canada to Germany face structural challenges. Through targeted short-term measures with innovative hybrid and virtual formats as well as the promotion of attendance stays of UNB students at H-BRS, the project aims to contribute to a more balanced student mobility. - Networking of members from teaching, research, knowledge transfer and administration:
Through the targeted networking of members of UNB and H-BRS from teaching, research, knowledge transfer and administration, the project creates the basis for sustainable and broad-based cooperation. It promotes the development of joint innovative co-operation formats and contributes to a future-oriented partnership. - Establishment of a strategic partnership: The project lays the foundation for a strategic partnership between UNB and H-BRS by gradually expanding and deepening cooperation in teaching, research, knowledge transfer and administration.
