German intensive courses

Upcoming courses (summer semester 2026):

Intensive study-preparatory B2.1 German course

• Start: April 13, 2026
• Duration: Classes until July 17, 2026
• Duration: 24h/week
  • Lessons on 5 mornings and 1 afternoon
  • 5 weekdays presence in Sankt Augustin
• Costs: Free of charge for refugees without student status
• Application: Between November 15, 2025 and January 31, 2026 or until all places are filled. If the number of applications exceeds the number of places on the course, further applications may be rejected before the end of the application period. There is no legal entitlement to a place on the course.

Intensive study-preparatory C1 German course

• Start:
  • Kick off meeting : March 23, 2026, 10:00-16:00 (one time meeting)
  • Official course start : April 13, 2026
• Duration:
  • Classes end: July 17, 2026 (make-up sessions allowed until July 31, 2026)
  • Exam: The date for the telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule exam will be announced later
• Scope: 24h/week
  • Lessons on 5 mornings and 1 afternoon
  • 4 weekdays attendance in Sankt Augustin, 1 day online
• Costs: Free of charge for refugees without student status
• Application: Between November 15, 2025 and January 31, 2026 or until all places are filled. Requirements

• You have studied before/ received the university entrance qualification (HZB)
• You are a refugee
• You live in the Rhine-Sieg or Bonn region and can attend the courses.
• You are interested in a study program at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences
• You have already reached the required German level for the course (B1 or B2)

Registration

Documents to be submitted (by mail):

• Application form
• CV
• Proof of academic achievements/ university entrance qualification (HZB)
• Registration certificate/residence permit
• Identity card/ID
• Proof of required German language level
