Prof Puder as a guest: GenAI and transatlantic cooperation

Together with the Dean of the Department of Computer Science, Prof Dr Sascha Alda, as well as Prof Dr Houben, Nadine Kutz and Carolin Pohl from the Team International, an intensive discussion took place on current topics in computer science. The focus was particularly on the latest developments in the field of Generative AI (GenAI) and their impact on teaching. Prof Puder provided exciting insights into innovations from Silicon Valley and reported first-hand on trends and impulses from the US university and corporate landscape.

In addition, possibilities for closer networking between the two universities were discussed - particularly with regard to future student exchanges and joint projects. A possible return visit to San Francisco State University and a regular professional exchange on current topics were also considered.

Prof. Puder's visit laid a valuable foundation for potential transatlantic cooperation, which could provide new impetus for teaching, research and internationalisation.
