Strengthening our international relations in Canada

A nine-member delegation from Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, led by our President Marion Halfmann, visited our long-standing partner University of New Brunswick in Canada for five days. The trip took place as part of the DAAD HAW International-funded STREAM (Strengthening Ties in Research, Education and Academic Mobility) project. The clear goal: to expand and deepen the partnership and pave the way for a strategic partnership.

The delegation enjoyed a varied programme of campus tours, laboratory visits and one-on-one discussions. At management level, there was also a productive exchange with UNB President Paul Mazerolle and the Global Partnerships Team. During the visit, further joint projects, agreements and objectives were already identified, a clear sign of the mutual interest in deeper cooperation.

We would like to express our special thanks to the UNB Global Partnership Team for their warm welcome and excellent organisation on site, in particular John A Kershaw, Rhonda Bourque, Assad David, Dave Andrews and Tabatha Daigle.

Our delegation is enthusiastic about the potential of this partnership and looks forward to continuing the dialogue during the return visit to H-BRS in November!
