Andreas Ortseifen appointed professor
Andreas Ortseifen began his academic career at TU Darmstadt, where he studied electrical engineering and information technology and later completed his doctorate. He then worked in industry for many years. Initially at Bosch, and from 2015 until his move to the university at Ford. There he worked on the development of control and regulation algorithms for future driver assistance systems and automated driving. He also led a research project on "Reinforcement learning as a training method for virtual drivers in road traffic". Most recently, he worked at Ford on the development of algorithms for hazard assessment and decision-making for radar-based driver assistance systems.
