University and District Library
Library and Writing Centre Writing Days
How to participate
The workshops will cover many areas of writing academic writing, including the professional use of reference management programmes such as Zotero, procrastination, optimal Word formatting for theses, and the strategic use of AI tools for research and writing. Some workshops will be offered in a hybrid format or held in English to reach a wide audience.
Short breaks and snacks in between will replete your energy and provide opportunity for socialising.
The whole day, library and writing centre staff will be available to answer your questions at the consultation desk. Share your writing and research problems, get advice on your current projects and receive useful suggestions on how to perfect your writing process. The event will be accompanied by a media exhibition that lets you browse new resources and delve deeper into the topics of your choice.
In the summer semester, the Writing Day takes place in the Rheinbach campus library, and in the winter semester, it is held in the Sankt Augustin campus library.
Feel free to contact us anytime if you would like to suggest some topics or own ideas.
