Discover the hidden worlds of our metabolism - an insight into biomedical research into inborn errors of metabolism!

Lecture by Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Jörn Oliver Sass

Why are some people unable to properly utilise certain nutrients? What are the consequences? And above all: What are scientists doing in the laboratory to better understand these diseases in order to provide a basis for diagnosis and treatment?
The picture shows a slide which, as a simple formula with A+B to C+D, shows a sequence of metabolic disorders. All in black and white, simple text and symbols.

Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Jörn Oliver Sass from Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences invites you to an easy-to-understand lecture that makes the complex field of rare inborn errors of metabolism tangible for an audience aged 14 and over. The lecture will give you an overview of how genetic changes can disrupt biochemical processes and what effects this can have.

Admission

The event is free of charge and can be attended without registration.
