ISEE: From small group collaboration to global roundtable — Business Psychology students in Rheinbach collaborate with the University of Pristina
Throughout the seven-week project, students worked in intercultural teams to explore topics including social entrepreneurship, sustainability, international marketing, intercultural communication, and student life and cultural perspectives in Germany and Kosovo.
The project encouraged students to apply theories and tools of intercultural communication in authentic international teamwork situations. They also reflected on how businesses can become more sustainable and socially responsible while remaining attractive to customers and investors — themes that tie directly into the 2. semester Business Foreign Language Module (WiPsy) run by Eileen Küpper from the Language Centre in Rheinbach.
Eileen Küpper commented “ it provides students with valuable international experience and helps prepare them for working in increasingly global and multicultural environments. My teaching team and I are pleased to continue supporting international virtual exchange projects that promote intercultural learning, communication and international cooperation”.
The project concluded with a large final online session bringing together around 100 students and their lecturers: Eileen Küpper, Beate Roggenbuck, and Kerri Vernon from H-BRS, and Zinaide Gruda from the University of Pristina. During this session, students took part in international roundtable discussions, reflecting on their project experiences, cultural learning, and the challenges and benefits of intercultural collaboration.
We look forward to continuing and expanding this valuable international partnership — and to welcoming Zinaide Gruda and Blerta Mustafa from the University of Pristina to meet personally with the students involved in the ISEE project on 22 June 2026.
