Information about orientation weeks
Note in advance: Participation in the safety briefing is mandatory for all students! Otherwise, participation in a practical course is not possible! The safety briefing is part of the orientation weeks (always in September/October).
Bachelor students (BSc Applied Biology, BSc Sustainable Chemistry and Materials and BSc Forensic Science):
Your studies start on 15 September 2025 with the orientation weeks. We have compiled all other important information for first-year BSc students on our learning platform LEA. Orientation week MSc Biomedical Sciences 2025
Please note that participation in some events during the orientation week is compulsory - for example, you will not be allowed into our laboratories without attending the safety briefing.
Master's students in Analytical Chemistry and Quality Assurance
We look forward to welcoming you in person to the Rheinbach campus (Building H, Room H205, Von-Liebig-Straße 8, 53359 Rheinbach) on Monday, 29 September 2025: 2 to 4 p.m. Welcome and safety briefing. This is a compulsory event. Afterwards, the student council invites you to join them for a tour of the campus and a get-together. A great opportunity to get to know each other.
Master's students in Materials Science and Sustainability Methods
We look forward to welcoming you to the Rheinbach campus (Building G, Room G207, Von-Liebig-Straße 20, 53359 Rheinbach) on Monday, 29 September 2025: Welcome and safety briefing (1:30 pm - 4 pm). This is a compulsory event. Afterwards, the student council invites you to a joint campus tour and get-together. A great opportunity to get to know each other.

- 9:00 - 12:30 Reception International Students, Learn German Effectively (A1 - B2) Room H001
- 12:30 - 13:30 Lunch Break
- 13:30 - 14:00 Welcome at the Department, Prof. Jäger, HS3
- 14:00 - 14:30 Introduction MSc Programme, Prof'in. Muscate, HS3
- 14:30 - 15:00 Introduction Electives & Industry track, Prof. Sieber, HS3
- 15:00 - 17:00 Campus Rallye, Start: Building C - Cafeteria
- 17:00 - Open End Social Event with Fellow Students, Student Council
At the end of the day, the student council invites you to a get-together. A great opportunity to get to know each other.
