Vice President Teaching and Learning

H-BRS stands in particular for face-to-face teaching and personal contact with students; digital add-ons enrich the range of courses and offer diverse and flexible access.

In order to be professionally successful, sound specialised knowledge and the ability for a methodological approach are still indispensable. The challenge in teaching is, on the one hand, to impart this knowledge in such a way that it is anchored in the long term and remains accessible and, on the other hand, to use practical forms of teaching to ensure that what has been learnt is applied appropriately and does not remain a theoretical superstructure with no practical relevance. The aim is to develop the skills needed to think in a connected way, establish links and prepare students for lifelong learning and constructive collaboration with very different people.

The task of the Vice-Presidency is to create good conditions for this, as the main work is done by the teaching staff and those responsible in the departments, degree programmes and courses.
