Our waste collection systems
Files
For the disposal of larger quantities of data-protected waste paper, please contact the Purchasing department. For smaller quantities of data-protected files, there is a document shredder in Sankt Augustin in room G 222 and E 258. A document shredder is located in room E 258.
Electronics
Electronic waste is collected in containers at the IWK Service Point in room A 039 in Sankt Augustin.
Batteries
For old batteries: Round cells, block batteries, button cells and small rechargeable batteries can be collected in a large container at the IWK Service Point in room A 039 in Sankt Augustin. In Rheinbach, the battery collector is located in Heisenberg Str. on the left, at the entrance in the training hall.
Important notes:
- The small collection box is intended for larger batteries (e.g. mobile phones, smartphones or laptops).
- Batteries and rechargeable batteries containing lithium can heat up! Please cover protruding battery terminals completely with adhesive tape.
- The collection containers are available for batteries from devices used for business purposes
- Lead batteries (e.g. from the vehicle sector) may not be deposited there, in this case a report must be made to Michael Domnick (michael.domnick@h-brs.de) from Team BUG
Smartphones/mobile phones
Used mobile phones are collected in a collection box at the IWK Service Point in room A 039 in Sankt Augustin
Toner cartridges
Toner cartridges can be packaged and handed in at reception in Sankt Augustin or at reception in Rheinbach
Crown cap
Collection bins are available in Sankt Augustin in A 039 (at the IWK service point) for the crown cap collection. All donations will go to social projects in Sankt Augustin.
CDs and DVDs
There is a collection box for CDs and DVDs in Sankt Augustin at the IWK Service Point in room A 039 . Please bend or scratch the data discs
