The lecture series ‘Interjections of social policy’ is entering the next round! Prof. Dr Dominik Schnichels will kick things off on 6 May at 4 pm with the topic ‘Lobbyism for beginners - using the example of the EU Tobacco Directive’ or ‘What you always wanted to know about lobbying in Brussels but never dared to ask. Illustrated by the example of tobacco control’.

Professor Dominik Schnichels

Dominik Schnichels is a professor at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences. Until the end of 2024, he was an official at the European Commission, where he worked in five Directorates-General (External Trade, Competition, Health, Anti-Fraud and Taxation/Customs). For the last three years of his career, he was seconded to the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, where he headed the Foreign Trade Policy Department.
