Prototyping in der Softwareentwicklung: Doktortitel für Veronika Krauß
Am 29. November 2023 verteidigte Veronika Krauß erfolgreich ihre Doktorarbeit an der Universität Siegen. Sie beschäftigte sich mit dem Prototyping, einer Methode in der Softwareentwicklung.

Doktorwürde für Rebecca Komp
Rebecca Komp behandelte in ihrer Dissertation das Phänomen des Präsentismus, definiert als das Verhalten, trotz Krankheit zu arbeiten. Im Fokus standen die Fragen, was die Folgen von Präsentismus sind, welche Gründe es für dieses Verhalten gibt und welche Gegenmaßnahmen sich anbieten. Hierbei wurde das Setting Hochschule untersucht.

Katharina Walbrück: Doktortitel für Forschung an geopolymeren Dämmstoffen
Katharina Walbrück ist Absolventin der Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg (H-BRS) und hat am 15.12.2023 ihre Doktorprüfung mit dem Thema "Entwicklung und Charakterisierung von Miscanthus faserverstärkten Geopolymerschäumen" erfolgreich an der Technischen Universität Berlin verteidigt. Herzlichen Glückwunsch!

Summer School Programme USA 2024
The joint summer school with the partner university Coastal Carolina University in the USA will take place from 20.7.24 to 10.8.24. Students of the Department of Management Sciences at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences can apply to take part in the summer school until 15 January 2014.

Eleven students from the Department of Computer Science at H-BRS took part in the DOAG (Deutsche ORACLE-Anwendergruppe e. V.) 2023 conference in Nuremberg together with Prof. Dr Harm Knolle and took advantage of the student NextGen programme.

Katharina Walbrück - Doktortitel für Forschung an geopolymeren Dämmstoffen
On Wednesday, June 14, 2023, TREE scholar Dominik Wilde successfully defended his dissertation titled "High-Order Lattice Boltzmann Methods for Simulation of Compressible Flows" at the University of Siegen and was awarded the highest distinction (Summa cum Laude) for his doctoral degree.
