Why did you choose BRS-University for your MBA studies?
Was there anything in particular that made you choose BRS-University?

What made me chose BRS-University was the prestige and reputation of the institution. I finished my bachelor degree in 2009, after having professional experience in my home country and having worked overseas for two years I concluded it was time for me to go for international studies to complete my professional profile.

„"A memorable experience I have from my MBA studies time is when I presented my business plan development concept idea and - I won second place! This was a very formative event for me."”

How was your academic and professional background prior to the MBA program and what has led you to the decision to start the MBA program at BRS-University?

What I enjoyed the most was the presentations in front of our student classmates and professors. Their feedback was so valuable during those times, that the skills learned during those experiences gave me the self-confidence and the broader perspective I have today, to present in front of an audience in my professional daily work life. That experience also shaped my skills to be able to provide technical support to international stakeholders at my current job.

A memorable experience I have is when I participated in the EBS European Business School to present my business idea and I won second place by presenting my idea to the audience. This was a very formative event to me and therefore I have cut it together in a short video available via YouTube

Tell us about your time at our BRS-University.
What did you enjoy most during your time of studies?
How did the MBA program help you to shape your professional profile?

I was part of an international organization named Aiesec. It is also possible to attend Bonn meetups (btw my company organizes many talks which help to do networking and learn interesting topics). There are also several trustable opportunities to attend Bonn International Groups via Facebook, which I would recommend to get to know and network with other international students and professionals in the Bonn region.

Tell us about your time outside the University.
What kind of extracurricular activities were you involved in?
Which events should not be missed to connect with other internationals?

I would definitely recommend the MBA program to anybody who is interested in international studies. The program provides such a perspective that it is a definite step forward to develop an international career in any industry. In the end, my experience is overall very positive. Being able to enhance my expertise in international professional experience by studying this international MBA study program, helped me to always find interesting professional opportunities I can engage with.

Personally, I believe that my MBA studies were a great added value proposition for me to offer my profile to the international companies that I have had the opportunity to work and develop professionally.

ALUMNI WISDOM
What advice would you give MBA program freshman to make the most of their time here? If you could offer one piece of advice to current students what would it be?

Keep persistence in finding your dream work, persevere in your professional aspirations. Those two are the recipe for professional success in Germany.

Sounds easy, but it comes with a lot of sweat and hard work. I firmly believe that a person with the caliber of the MBA program is having the mental strength and determination to achieve such a goal.

Thank you, Enrique, for sharing your experiences and your personal story with us.
We wish you all the best on your further career path.
