Semester schedule changes in Summer Semester 2021
Please note the following changes in the semester schedule:
ALL ATTENDANCE COURSES WILL BE OFFERED ONLINE IN SUMMER SEMESTER 2021!
STUDENT SECRETARY CAMPUS RHEINBACH
You can reach the student secretary on campus daily from 10:00 - 11:30 am. Please prefer contacting the secretary by phone: 02241-865-401 and by mail: heike.loesch@h-brs.de first, before you come to campus personally. Please try to avoid any contact situation, if possible.
SUBMISSION OF MASTERS THESIS
Please notice the updates regarding the Master Thesis submission under Covid-19 here. Final papers can be handed over personally at the student secretary during the above mentioned time or placed in the P.O. box no. 7 (B-building, 1st floor). Another possibility is to hand in the theses at the information desk on Campus Rheinbach (Building A). Students will receive proof that their work has been handed in on time by email. The student secretary will inform the examiners by email if the student secretary will place the final papers in their subject.
UNIVERSITY LIBRARY IS OPEN AGAIN WITH RESTRICTIONS

Service hours are from 9 am to 5 pm on Mondays to Tuesdays and 10/12 am to 6 pm on Fridays during semester break.
Please keep in mind that the library offers a huge collection of electronic resources. You are welcome to ask if you need help using them. For any further questions, please always check first the Library FAQs.
LANGUAGE CENTRE
In the light of the development of the coronavirus pandemic, the Language Centre is forced to close the two offices on Sankt Augustin and Rheinbach campus to the public. Our secretaries are still available via email and telephone to answer your questions about our language courses (see https://www.h-brs.de/en/spz/language-centre-office); please note, however, that there might be a delay in reply due to currently limited capacities.

EXAMINATION INFORMATION
Please note the following examination information, dates, and deadlines.
EXAM REGISTRATION PERIOD in SUMMER SEMESTER 2021:
19.–25.04.2021 (registration for both exam weeks in summer term 2021)
EXAM WEEKS in SUMMER SEMESTER 2021:
Exam week I: 06.-14.05.2021
Exam week II: 16.-24.07.2021

Information to the 3rd exam attempt
In case your next exam will be your last (third) exam attempt, please get in touch with the MBA coordination office and your module lecturers early in advance before the respective exam date. Individual appointments for an exam review are possible, please send your request to the MBA coordination office: info@mba-csr-ngo.com
Failing a module three times results in an ex-matriculation from the students register due to performance failure.
Exam review in summer semester 2021:
We ask for your understanding that examination reviews on campus cannot be offered at the moment. As soon as the situation allows us, we will provide all students with an extended offer for exam reviews in the rooms of our MBA Support Offices. In individual urgent cases, (e.g. students who are threatened with exmatriculation due to loss of the right to examine OR students who are about to take their 3rd (last!) exam attempt OR students who are about to graduate within the next 3 months) the MBA Coordinators will offer individual solutions on the short term. ONLY in this individual (urgent) cases, please contact us early in advance: Isabella.Kern@h-brs.de
Withdrawal from examinations
What is to be done in case of sickness during an exam day or period, please, therefore, read the instructions on our Website on “How to withdrawal from examinations in case of sickness”. Do not hesitate to get back to us in case of questions.

Coaching Sessions
Virtual coaching Sessions with Prof. Meier available!
Every student has to do at least one coaching session as part of the MBA studies curriculum (5 ECTS). The purpose of it is that students talk to a Professor about the focus of your studies, your Master's Thesis, and possible future career development. Generally, coaching sessions can be made with any lecturer of our MBA program, however, the head of the coaching module is Prof. Dr. Harald Meier. He lets you know that he is available for virtual coaching appointments during the entire summer semester 2021.

Office 365 Education - Licenses for H-BRS Students available!
The Office 365 education package from Microsoft is aimed at students, teaching staff, and university employees. It provides Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for installation on private PC devices. H-BRS Students have the opportunity to use certain licenses and services from the student advantage benefit on their private devices within the framework of the Microsoft Campus Agreement. This is a free Office 365 subscription that you can use during your entire study period at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University.
The registration is to be done via the SoftwareONE academic Portal. Students of H-BRS use their e-mail address in the following form: forename.surname@smail.wir.h-brs.de

Academic Writing Circle for International Students
The Language Centre offers writing centers for both German and English, including workshops and individual coaching sessions. The aim of the workshops and individual coaching sessions is to teach fundamental writing techniques and to support students who have specific problems in writing term papers or final theses.
