Coaching Sessions Prof. Meier 
Professor Meier is offering new coaching slots on Monday and Wednesday evenings in Bonn or on 11. May in the morning and midday hours for students from outside the area of Bonn, for all others on Fridays evenings after class. Be aware that at least one coaching session is mandatory!

Office 365 Education - Licenses for H-BRS Students available!​
The Office 365 education package from Microsoft is aimed to students, teaching staff and university employees. It provides Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for installation on private PC devices. H-BRS Students have the opportunity to use certain licenses and services from the student advantage benefit on their private devices within the framework of the Microsoft Campus Agreement. This is a free Office 365 subscription that you can use during your entire study period at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University.​

The registration is to be done via the SoftwareONE academic Portal. Students of H-BRS use their e-mail address in the following form: forename.surname@smail.wir.h-brs.de

What do I need to consider when creating an application for the German labor market? How can I present my strengths best? What are the legal requirements for an internship and job search? What about my residence permit after graduation? What is a blue card? All these questions shall be answered within this Workshop. Please register as spots are limited.

"My diversity as a resource" - One-day workshop on June 15th, 2018
Career management in Germany for international students - One-day workshop under the initiative "Respect! Time for diversity, time for sustainability"​. The workshop helps international students to successfully complete their studies and find an adequate job in Germany, as quickly and efficiently as possible. The speaker, Dr. Adnan Elci, presents a widely successful method, using concrete examples. The focus is on answering the following question: "How can I systematically identify and achieve my own goals, taking into account my individual requirements?"

Academic Writing Circle for International Students
The Language Centre offers writing centres for both German and English, including workshops and individual coaching sessions. The aim of the workshops and individual coaching sessions is to teach fundamental writing techniques and to support students who have specific problems in writing term papers or final theses.

Summer School on Development Policy
Location: University of Bonn, Bonn
Date: 30. July - 10. August 2018
The University of Bonn invites graduate and postgraduate students as well as young professionals from any field of study or discipline to a Summer School on Development Policy in Bonn. The program is organized in cooperation with the German Corporation for International Cooperation / Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. Applicants who wish to participate in the Summer School must apply by April 6, 2018. The selected participants will be notified within one week after the registration deadline. The participation fee amounts to 760 Euros (including the costs for the excursions). SewLUTIONS for the future of the apparel industry?
Location: Hamburg
Date: 15.+16. November 2018
How will the fashion industry look like in year 2030? How will work environments change through automation and digitisation? What impact will this have on today's so-called "low-wage countries"? What opportunities and risks do these developments mean for questionable work in global supplier chains? During the conference, suggestions will be given as to how a socially and eco-logically sustainable design of future upheavals and changes can be made possible. The participants expects a versatile program with speakers from business, politics and science. Get a closer look at the program and a short resumée clip of the last conference in 2016.

Same as the previours years before, a university course will be held at the conference, which will be used to present final papers and research papers by students. We are happy to announce that Mr Winfried Polte, long-standing lecturer of our MBA Program and our University, has been appointed by the CSR Competence Centre (CSR Kompetenzzentrum) to be the new CSR Ambassador in the field of CSR and Sustainability. Thank to his many years of professional experience, the committee decided to nominate Mr Polte to be the right person for this reputable position in t...he Rhineland Area.

MBA Students with Ms. Kerstin Bandsom from Welthungerhilfe e.V. Bonn


MBA Students on a site visit at Welthungerhilfe Bonn
[23 June 2017]

A Group of our MBA-Students visited the "Welthungerhilfe" (Action Against Hunger) in Bonn, which is one of Germany’s largest private aid organizations, working towards the realization of the UN SDGs in line with the Agenda 2030. The primary focus of the NGO are Goal No.1: No Poverty and Goal No.2: No Hunger.

Ms. Kerstin Bandsom, responsible for internal and external communication at "Welthungerhilfe", welcomed our students and provided them an insight into the different areas of the organizations daily work with their main focal points. Furthermore, Ms Bandsom shared her experiences on projects and their Impact with our students.

Aadhya, Ahmed, Disha, Mariam, Natascha and Sandra Katherine appreciated the interactive and highly informative session, which was followed by some career guidance about the work in the NGO Sector. We´d like to thank the Welthungerhilfe for the Invitation and providing our students the great chance to look "behind the courtain" of the Welthungerhilfe Bonn.
