Please note the following examination information, dates and deadlines.

Important change in the examination scheduling in Winter term 18/19
Starting from Winter term 18/19, all module exams (except the Business Plan Development paper exam!) will be offered in to separate exam weeks: Exam week I and Exam week II. Exam week I will go from 10.–16. December 2018. Exam week II however, will be offered from 02.–08. February 2019, at the end of the lecture period of winter term 18/19. The exact dates of each exam can be seen from the respective semester schedule of winter term 18/19. This change is likewise applicable to all students, batch 2017 and batch 2018. The registration period for both exam weeks is 05.–11. November 2018, to be made via SIS, as ever before. The seven-days-prior-to-exam-date-rule for de-registrastions applies accordingly. Exam period in Winter term 18/19
Registration for the 1st semester Module-Exam in "Basics of CSR & NGO Management" is to be made via LEA: Register here via LEA for the Basics-Module Exam in winter term 18/19 (pass-or-fail exam for students of the 1st semester). Exam parts: 70 points of “Introduction to Business Management” (Mr. Weber) & 30 points of “Project Management” (Mr. Küpper).
Date: Friday, 26. October 2018
Time: 12-13 o´clock (please be at least 15 min. earlier on site!)
Place: Campus Rheinbach, H-Building, Seminar room H 001

Examination registration period for all exams in exam week I and exam week II:
05.–11. November 2018
​Registration for all exams is to be made via your personal SIS-Account.

Coaching / Consultation offerings

Coaching Sessions with Prof. Meier 
​Every student has to do at least one coaching session as part of the MBA studies curriculum. Purpose of it is that students talk to a Professor about the focus of your studies, your Masters Thesis and possible future career development. Sadly Professor Meier won´t be available for any coaching sessions until around Christmas. Alternatively, students are free to contact any other lecturer of the MBA Programme in order to request a coaching session during the summer term semester break or the upcoming winter term 18/19. Office 365 Education - Licenses for H-BRS Students available!​
The Office 365 education package from Microsoft is aimed to students, teaching staff and university employees. It provides Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for installation on private PC devices. H-BRS Students have the opportunity to use certain licenses and services from the student advantage benefit on their private devices within the framework of the Microsoft Campus Agreement. This is a free Office 365 subscription that you can use during your entire study period at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University.​

The registration is to be done via the SoftwareONE academic Portal. Students of H-BRS use their e-mail address in the following form: forename.surname@smail.wir.h-brs.de

STARK - Career for International Students in Germany

STARK CARRER COACHING for international students
Peer coaching by students for international students
​When?: during the upcoming winter term 18/19
​Target group?: International students who are looking for internships and jobs in Germany or who have to do a compulsory internship during their studies at University Bonn-Rhein-Sieg. 
Aims?: The career coaching, which is tailored to the needs of international students, serves to support international students in their specific job-related concerns and to facilitate their path to professional practice. (Example topics: support in overcoming individual challenges in the application process, strengthening of resources and self-reflection).

Academic Writing Circle for International Students
The Language Centre offers writing centres for both German and English, including workshops and individual coaching sessions. The aim of the workshops and individual coaching sessions is to teach fundamental writing techniques and to support students who have specific problems in writing term papers or final theses.

14th International Organizations Career Fair in Berlin
When?: Saturday, 26 January 2019
​Where?: At the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin.
Over 40 international organisations and European institutions will be represented, as well as young academics promotion programmes, which will be happy to answer questions about career opportunities. Students, university graduates and professionals who are interested in an international career can inform themselves in personal conversations, at exhibition stands, at presentations and through field reports about job profiles and the daily work in international organisations and European institutions. Organizations there are looking for employees in the fields of economics and politics, architecture, engineering, chemistry, medicine, law, computer science, communication, science, administration, meteorology and others.

Tickets at 8 Euro and further information can be obtained on our website www.diplo.de/io-karrieremesse. Tickets cannot be purchased on site. You find our advertising flyer in the appendix.

The fair takes place from 10:00 to 17:00 (admission from 9:00) in the conference area of the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin-Mitte (entrance Unterwasserstraße 10, subway: Spittelmarkt).

Lecturer of the MBA Programme is new CSR Ambassador

We are happy to announce that Mr Winfried Polte, long-standing lecturer of our MBA Program and our University, has been appointed by the CSR Competence Centre (CSR Kompetenzzentrum) to be the new CSR Ambassador in the field of CSR and Sustainability. Thank to his many years of professional experience, the committee decided to nominate Mr Polte to be the right person for this reputable position in t...he Rhineland Area.

MBA Students with Ms. Kerstin Bandsom from Welthungerhilfe e.V. Bonn


MBA Students on a site visit at Welthungerhilfe Bonn
[23 June 2017]

A Group of our MBA-Students visited the "Welthungerhilfe" (Action Against Hunger) in Bonn, which is one of Germany’s largest private aid organizations, working towards the realization of the UN SDGs in line with the Agenda 2030. The primary focus of the NGO are Goal No.1: No Poverty and Goal No.2: No Hunger.

Ms. Kerstin Bandsom, responsible for internal and external communication at "Welthungerhilfe", welcomed our students and provided them an insight into the different areas of the organizations daily work with their main focal points. Furthermore, Ms Bandsom shared her experiences on projects and their Impact with our students.

Aadhya, Ahmed, Disha, Mariam, Natascha and Sandra Katherine appreciated the interactive and highly informative session, which was followed by some career guidance about the work in the NGO Sector. We´d like to thank the Welthungerhilfe for the Invitation and providing our students the great chance to look "behind the courtain" of the Welthungerhilfe Bonn.

Homecoming: MBA Alumni are Speaker-Guests on the Alumni Day 2018


Alumni Day 2018 - MBA Alumni back on Campus!

On the occasion of this year´s Alumni Day 2018 the team of the MBA programme “CSR & NGO Management” proudly welcomed four of their graduates back on campus on April 27th. Unlike before, this time our Alumni sat on the other side of the classroom as they´ve been part of the Alumni Day programme sessions for international students at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University. In open Q&A Sessions, Lana Djurkin-König (Croatia), David Elema, Enrique Trejo (Mexico) and Olga Florentyna-Schneider (Russian-Indonesian) talked about their career and shared their experiences German labour market as Non-German graduates. Interested students have had the opportunity to ask questions and of course, our Alumni were happy to provide valuable information and advice to current juniors about how to prepare for the job market, what particularly to consider in the application process and how to identify your own “USP” and how to promote it in the job searching process.
