A warm welcome to our new students of the MBA programme in CSR & NGO Management of the batch 2016.

On the 19th of September we were pleased to welcome 21 new students from 5 continents and 14 different countries at our campus in Sankt Augustin. The origin of the students, as well as their academic and professional backgrounds is versatile.  This diversity is one of the main characteristic of the MBA programme and contributes to a unique and intercultural learning experience.

The first day for the students was filled with providing  basic information about the programme and gave the group a first impression of the university. The highlight of the day was the official opening at the old town hall with a reception by deputy mayor of Bonn, Reinhard Limbach, in the old town hall in Bonn.  The Academic Director of the programme, Prof. Dr. Katja Bender, took also the opportunity to welcome the students personally.

It was followed by speeches by Verena Schwarte, responsible for International Affairs and Global Sustainability at the city of Bonn and Thomas Cierpka, Deputy Director at International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM) e.V. displaying the opportunities of the international hub, that is Bonn. A very special surprise was the speech by two alumni of the programme. On the second day the students visited the campus in Rheinbach and started with their first courses. A barbeque on Wednesday evening gave the students the chance to meet more lecturers and alumni of the programme .

Over a month now, this new group is part of our programme  and  one can say: The programme has started very well, because both, the lecturers as well as the students are more than happy.

We wish all the students of the batch 2016 a wonderful and exciting time in Bonn and a successful study experience at the Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg.
