Summer School Programme USA

Programme structure

Maimester 2013

Information on the structure of the programme

The Summer School Programme consists of two parts, the visit of the American students in May and your stay at Coastal Carolina University in July/August.

Visit of the American students in May

Maymester 2017

In May, American students will visit Europe with their professors and will also be in the Bonn region for about one week. During this week, we plan events and German/American group work will take place in Rheinbach and Remagen.

In addition to the academic programme, excursions are planned, such as visiting companies (e.g. DHL, Eaton, RWE etc.) and city tours (e.g. Cologne, Koblenz, Aachen, Düsseldorf etc.).

Other cultural activities, especially leisure activities, are mainly organised by the German participants, i.e. by students for students.

Your stay at Coastal Carolina University in July and August

Transport at Coastal Carolina University

During your three-week short stay at Coastal Carolina University in July/August, you will live on campus. In addition to your participation in seminars and workshops in an international context, you will work together in international teams on a consulting project. You will present the results of your project at the end of the programme.

In addition, CCU plans various activities for you, such as excursions or a visit to a sporting event and much more. In your free time, you have the opportunity to use the campus facilities or explore Myrtle Beach and the beach.

Important note if the examination period overlaps with the stay at Coastal Carolina University

Your stay at Coastal Carolina University may overlap with the last exam week of the summer semester. In order to allow you to participate in both the exams and the Summer School programme, please let us know which exams you will be registering for after you have accepted to the programme so that we can consider possible options.

A possible overlap should not prevent your participation in the programme.
