Lecture "Mindfulness, deep meditation and transformation in a complex reality"

Following the exciting events in the Winter semester and the workshop with Feline Tecklenburg, the well-known presenter and science journalist Prof. Gert Scobel will give the first lecture of the second block of events in the Summer semester 2026 on 1 June.
Plakat Facetten der Transformation Teil 2

All major transformations that we have to cope with socially, technologically, socially or cognitively/emotionally lead scientifically to the question of how we can better understand and design complex systems. However, this question is usually ignored in purely technical disciplines. From a philosophical perspective, however, the question is an ancient one: how is wisdom and therefore a "good life" possible? When analysing classic answers in the form of SDGs and IDGs, for example, their internal appeal is just as striking as the simple fact that all changes can only be managed with the help of our (altered) consciousness. But what do we know about this - empirically, but also culturally? The lecture deals with the management of transformative tasks from the perspective of cultivating our consciousness.
