Accommodation in Germany

Information on accommodation
No room in a student residence hall?

You can use guest houses, youth hostels or hotels to bridge the gap. Probably the cheapest alternative is the youth hostel on the Venusberg in Bonn Jugendherberge auf dem Venusberg. Alternatively, you should also look around on the open housing market. Our university newspaper "doppelpunkt", for example, offers an online housing market by and for students Online Wohnungsmarkt.

Shared apartments as an alternative

Shared apartments are a very popular form of living, especially among young people.

Of course, living with one or even more people means a certain loss of privacy and can cause friction and stress - but it is not uncommon for something that started as a partnership of convenience to grow into a good and enduring friendship. In shared flats you can split the rent but double the fun.

Several websites offer search engines for free places in shared apartments, for example www.EasyWG.de (this website is multilingual); www.wg-gesucht.de or www.studenten-wg.de.

Your own apartment

In addition to searching the regional daily newspapers, it may be worth taking a look at the folders at the reception in Sankt Augustin or in Rheinbach. There you will find housing offers from the region.
