Cafeteria on Rheinbach Campus reopened
On Monday, January 29, 2024, the cafeteria on the Rheinbach campus will reopen. This means that there will once again be a stationary food service on campus. Since January 8, students and employees of the university have also been able to use the foyer in the C building to eat, work and linger. Around 80 seats are available here.

PhD scholarships for eight PhD candidates
The institutes and departments of Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg (H-BRS) and the Graduate Institute have awarded a total of eight doctoral scholarships to support the research work of academics at H-BRS at the start of their careers. At a ceremony, Professor Dr. Remi Maier-Rigaud, Vice President Research and Early Career Scientists, and Professor Dr. Rainer Herpers, Director of the Graduate Institute (GI), presented the scholarship holders with their funding approval certificates together with the awarding institutes and departments.

Prof. Dr. Anna-Lena Menn übernimmt Leitung des Forschungsfelds Modellbildung und Simulation
Prof. Dr. Anna-Lena Menn hat seit September 2022 an der Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg die Professur für Ingenieurmathematik und Optimierung technischer Systeme inne. Zu ihren Forschungsexpertisen gehören Model Based Systems Engineering, Nachhaltige Mobilität sowie die Modellbildung, Auslegung und besonders die Wirkungsgradoptimierung elektrischer Antriebsstränge.

NAkSU project enters test phase
A research group at H-BRS is developing new analysis methods to collect safety and environmental data and visualise it for various groups. In future, cities, for example, could use data on the microclimate or pollutant density for their planning or public relations work. The researchers have now put the sensors into operation and are carrying out initial test measurements.
