Call for Ideas: Impact Pitch Night Banner

Do you have an idea that really makes a difference?

Then it belongs on stage! At the Impact Pitch Night on 18 November at the DIGITALHUB Bonn, we will put socially or ecologically effective ideas in the spotlight. Whether concept or prototype, alone or in a team - the main thing is: from the Bonn/Rhine-Sieg region. We honour the best ideas with prize money of up to €3,000. Submit now and show us what you've got.

What's it all about?

The Impact Pitch Night is part of the SoNaR project and is looking for future-oriented start-up ideas from the Bonn-Rhine-Sieg region that are geared towards the common good. Do you want to make a difference with technology, creativity or entrepreneurial spirit? Then this is your stage.

What are we looking for?

Ideas that are not only smart, but also useful. For example:

  • Technological solutions for ecological or social challenges
  • Sustainable products or services with impact
  • Business models that put impact before profit maximisation

Whether prototype, concept or already on the market - the decisive factor is that your idea is aimed at the common good and has the potential to make a real difference.

What can you win?

  • 1st place: €3,000
  • 2nd place: €2,000
  • 3rd place: €1.000
  • Special Price: Admission to the selection camp of Anthropia's Impact Factory Incubator (see below)
  • Exclusive pitch coaching for all final teams

And above all: visibility, feedback and networking with a network of experts, universities and supporters.

Special prize: a spot in the selection camp of Anthropia's Impact Factory Incubator

The Impact Factory provides intensive support to help you turn your vision into reality – from idea validation to market entry! The upcoming incubator program runs for six months starting in December 2025. Anthropia will award one of the final teams from Impact Pitch Night an exclusive place in the incubator's selection camp, allowing you to skip the first stages of the regular application process.

Who can join in?

If you're reading this and thinking: "Yup, that's me" - then you should apply!

In concrete terms:

  • Founders and people interested in founding a company from the region, with or without a connection to one of the participating universities
  • Students, alumni and employees of Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, Alanus University of Applied Sciences or the University of Bonn
  • Anybody who has an idea for the common good and the courage to show it
  • Individuals and teams welcome

How can you apply?

You submit your idea in the form of a pitch deck with a maximum of 14 slides. The application deadline is 12 October 2025.

Important: This pitch deck will not be presented as part of a live pitch, but will be read and evaluated as an independent application. This means: All important content must be clear, structured and recognisable in the deck without additional explanation. If you are invited to the Impact Pitch Night on 18 November 2025, you can of course revise your deck again for the live pitch on stage.

The pitch deck can be submitted in German or English.

Contents of the pitch deck

You should address the following aspects in your pitch deck. Depending on the stage of development of your idea, it may not yet be possible to describe every individual point in detail. Nevertheless, try to be as specific as possible (without exaggerating).

The order of the individual areas is not predetermined.

  • Problem
  • Solution
  • Presentation of product/service
  • Target group
  • Market and competition
  • USP
  • Business model and financing
  • Marketing and sales
  • Team
  • Sustainability/impact
  • Milestones and outlook (vision)

It's worth taking part!
