At CENTIM - Centre for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and SMEs - we strive to be a supportive and transformative partner to our students, staff and alumni by promoting entrepreneurial values and thinking. Our goal is to strengthen the innovative SME and startup ecosystem within the university and the region Bonn-Rhein-Sieg.

Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship is an important field of competence of CENTIM and includes the promotion of entrepreneurial thinking and acting. Our goal is to strengthen personal development and innovative power and to support and advise them in the best possible way in their start-up projects. Within the framework of diverse offers for start-up awareness, start-up qualification and start-up coaching, we would like to provide all-embracing support for start-ups from the university to strengthen the start-up culture in the region.

Innovation

Technologies are changing rapidly, and competition is becoming increasingly globalised. A company must continuously improve and expand its product range to survive in competition because innovation ensures success! With our consulting services, we impart technical know-how and other essential skills for successful positioning in the market.

At CENTIM, we seek to strengthen and further drive innovation through our innovation-focused projects.

SME Management

CENTIM provides a forum for SME leaders to shape the future strategic direction of their companies and succession practices. Our partners have the opportunity to contribute to sound research that challenges the status quo and is empirically driven to further this field. The corporate/academic collaboration between CENTIM and SMEs in the Bonn/Rhein-Sieg region seeks to generate unique and unbiased knowledge to promote the effectiveness of executive succession practices in firms.

5 days on the way to your own business: that's the Start-up Spring School from the Transfer Center enaCom of the University of Bonn and the Start-up-Manufaktur. Here you develop your own ideas in teams with the help of our coaches, right up to the pitch. We provide you with everything you need to know about starting a business and the latest methods for developing innovations and your own business concepts.

Workshop How-To: Pitch-Deck richtig gestalten

In unserem Workshop lernt ihr, worauf es beim Pitch-Deck ankommt: Wir zeigen euch, welche Inhalte in einem überzeugenden Pitch-Deck nicht fehlen dürfen. Vom Aufbau bis zur Visualisierung - wir verraten euch, worauf es bei der Präsentation eurer Idee ankommt. Erstellt einen ersten Entwurf und erhaltet wertvolles Feedback.Der Workshop bereitet euch ideal auf die Teilnahme am Start-up-Cup, unserem hochschulinternen Ideenwettbewerb, vor!

Bewerbungsstart für AWAKE III Gründerinnenprogramm

Die Start-up-Manufaktur freut sich, den Start der Bewerbungsphase für das AWAKE Gründerinnenprogramm bekannt zu geben, welches im Rahmen der EXIST-Women Initiative der Bundesregierung gefördert wird. Das sechsmonatige Inkubator-Programm richtet sich an Frauen in der Vorgründungsphase und bietet eine einzigartige Gelegenheit, unternehmerische Träume zu verwirklichen.

From idea to concept: Second AWAKE cohort successfully completes program

After six months full of ideas, courage and entrepreneurial spirit, the participants of the EXIST Women programme AWAKE 2 presented their start-up ideas at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences. At the celebratory closing event in Bonn, they showed how initial ideas turned into concrete business models, supported by mentoring, workshops and a strong network.

Kostenloses Beratungsangebot zu Rechtsfragen für gemeinwohlorientierte Start-ups

Wer gründet, steht schnell vor rechtlichen Fragen – von der Wahl der passenden Rechtsform bis hin zu Anforderungen an Satzung, Gemeinnützigkeit oder Förderfähigkeit. Gerade für gemeinwohlorientierte Gründungen ist die rechtliche Ausgestaltung ein wichtiger Schritt auf dem Weg zur Umsetzung. Im Rahmen des Projekts SoNaR – Sozial gründen, nachhaltig wirken bieten wir Gründer:innen der H-BRS ab sofort die Möglichkeit, eine kostenfreie juristische Erstberatung in Anspruch zu nehmen.

Start-up-Cup 2025 - application phase started

The Start-up-Manufaktur is organising the university's internal ideas competition Start-up-Cup for the fifth time! The competition offers students, alumni and employees the opportunity to present their innovative ideas to a wide audience and receive valuable feedback. In addition to cash prizes for the first three places, a special impact prize will also be awarded this year for the best social or sustainability idea.

Was soziale und nachhaltige Start-ups brauchen: Auftakt des Impact Start-up Clusters SoNaR

Gutes tun und damit Geld verdienen? Wie soziale oder nachhaltige Start-ups – sogenannte Impact Start-ups oder gemeinwohlorientierte Unternehmen – entstehen können, war das Thema der Netzwerkveranstaltung „Future Founders – Netzwerken für eine bessere Zukunft“. Das Event fand im Mai im DIGITALHUB statt und markierte den Auftakt des neuen Impact Start-up Cluster SoNaR, ein gemeinsames Projekt der Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, der Universität Bonn und der Alanus Hochschule.
