Company doctor
The tasks of the company doctor are defined in the Occupational Health and Safety Act. These are in particular
- Advising the employer on all matters relating to medical occupational health and safety
- Conducting occupational medical check-ups
- Operational inspections and workplace inspections
- Motivating employees to comply with occupational health and safety
- Advice on maternity protection
- Improving and enforcing skin protection
- Agreement of occupationally required vaccinations
- Counselling and examinations of employees who see a connection between their illness and their occupational activities
The company doctor is subject to the same duty of medical confidentiality as all other doctors.
