Company doctor
The duties of the company doctor are set out in the Occupational Safety Act:
- Advising the employer in all matters of medical occupational health and safety
- Conducting preventive occupational medical examinations
- Company inspections and workplace inspections
- Motivation of employees to comply with occupational health and safety
- Advice on maternity protection
- Improving and enforcing skin protection
- Agreement on occupationally required vaccinations
- Counselling and examinations of employees, who see a connection between their illness and their professional activities.
The company doctor is subject to medical confidentiality in the same way as all other doctors.
