Company doctor

The duties of the company doctor are set out in the Occupational Safety Act:

• Advising the employer in all matters of medical occupational health and safety
• Conducting preventive occupational medical examinations
• Company inspections and workplace inspections
• Motivation of employees to comply with occupational health and safety
• Advice on maternity protection
• Improving and enforcing skin protection
• Agreement on occupationally required vaccinations
• Counselling and examinations of employees, who see a connection between their illness and their professional activities.

The company doctor is subject to medical confidentiality in the same way as all other doctors.
