Machine hall
The project area FB03 of the Department of Engineering and Communication includes the machine hall with the wood workshop and the dynamics laboratory (vibration testing) and the SMT laboratory (surface mounting technology) for the surface assembly of electronic components, which also houses the 3D printers (rapid prototyping)
Projects, commissioned work and doctoral theses
On average, ten to twelve projects per semester are worked on in parallel in the machine hall. In addition, there are numerous commissioned works for companies and other institutions. PhD students at H-BRS carry out test series and the BRS motorsport athletes work on their racing cars here. Last but not least, the machine hall is an important building block in the practical block week in the four-one model (structured semester).
