PhD Scholarship Announcement 2020

the Graduate Institute (GI), the Equality Opportunity Office, the Institute of Visual Computing (IVC), the Institute of Technology, Resource and Energy-Efficient Engineering (TREE), the Institute of Safety and Security Research (ISF) and Departments at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg are announcing up to eight doctoral scholarships for academic staff, teaching staff for special tasks and graduates of the H-BRS. Applicants stand out due to an excellent degree, which generally entitles them to study for a PhD, are welcome to apply.
Prerequisites of granting a H-BRS doctoral scholarship are the performance of research work at the Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg and the supervision of the PhD work by a professor of Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg as well as the conditions set in the guidelines on granting a PhD scholarship.

In addition, a Ließem doctoral scholarship will be offered for the first time this year. With this scholarship the Ließem-Foundation supports education and qualification of needy young people, who are not older than 27 years and have their first residence for five years in Bonn or in the Rhein-Sieg-Kreis.

The communication of the application process takes place via the course “Bewerbung um ein Promotionsstipendium” of the learning platform LEA https://lea.hochschule-bonn-rhein-sieg.de. A selection committee will review the scholarship applications based on scientific aspects first and social ones second. Basis of the evaluation process are the submitted application documents as well as the personal presentation of the research project in front of the selection committee and the subsequent interview session.
