KOAB

The Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences has been taken part in the graduate survey cooperation project "KOAB" since 2012. The KOAB is a nationwide scientific research project for graduate surveys of the ISTAT (Institute for Applied Statistics). Besides the H-BRS, about 70 other universities are involved in this project. For this, we ask our alumni in a full survey one or two years after their graduation for a retrospective evaluation of their study and career entry. The results of the initial survey are supplemented through a second survey after further three years (follow-up survey). The focus of the follow-up survey is on the subsequent career progression of the alumni and possible additional studies.

By conducting the surveys in 2013, 2016, 2018 and 2020, the university has additionally taken part in four research projects about study and work in North Rhine-Westphalia. The final reports "Studium und Beruf in Nordrhein-Westfalen" have been published in 2014, 2017, 2020 and 2021.

The survey of the 2022 graduates has been completed now. Thank you very much to all our participants!

Starting in October 2024 the 2023 graduates (winter semester 2022/23 and summer semester 2023) and for the follow-up survey the 2020 graduates (winter semester 2019/20 and summer semester 2020) are being surveyed. All alumni of our university, who graduated in these periods of time, are invited to take part in the online surveys. The data for login can be found in the cover letter.

National Graduate Panel

The national graduate panel is a nationwide survey that primarily serves educational reporting at the federal level. It is conducted by the H-BRS in cooperation with the Institute for Applied Statistics (ISTAT), the International Centre for Higher Education Research at the University of Kassel (INCHER-Kassel) and the German Centre for Higher Education Research and Science Studies (DZHW).

The first survey took place in the winter semester 2018/19 and was funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). In order to avoid two similar surveys, the KOAB survey was suspended for graduates of the H-BRS who have been drawn into the sample of the national graduate panel.
