#OneInOneMillion: Erasmus student Carlotta Henke
„My Erasmus semester in Warsaw was truly #OneInOneMillion for me, because not only did I get to discover the whole country, but I also met incredibly open and inspiring people from all over the world. The international atmosphere at the university and in the city showed me how unifying culture, travelling and encounters can be.”
Carlotta Henke - Student in Sustainable Engineering (BEng)
In order to receive the diploma and a bag filled with useful little things from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Erasmus students at H-BRS applied to the university's International Office with a statement about their stay abroad. The choice fell on Carlotta Henke, who is studying Sustainable Engineering (BEng) in her sixth semester at the Department of Engineering and Communication. The diploma and bag were presented by Christina Holthaus, Erasmus+ University Coordinator and member of staff at the International Office.
Henke was one of 66 students at our university who completed a study abroad semester at an Erasmus+ partner university in Winter semester 2025/26. In total, 134 H-BRS students spent a study abroad semester at a partner university in the Winter semester.

"My Erasmus semester in Valencia is characterised by the fact that, despite university, a working student job and life in a new country, my flatmates and many small everyday moments, such as a simple 'Gracias, guapa', quickly made me feel at home. My Universitat de València jumper is more than just a souvenir for me: it takes me back to this six-month period and reminds me that it's worth embarking on new adventures."

"The wonderful balance of new knowledge, discovering the many facets of Glasgow and dreamy weekends in the Highlands - and all this with people who wanted to experience this just as much as you do."

"My Erasmus was accompanied by impressive, very dark days to days when the sun never sets. And no matter how cold it got in an NTNU cabin, I was always happy thanks to my new international friendships from Italy to Kazakhstan to Greece."
