Sabine Mitter: Forschung und Innovation für eine globale Energiewende

Am Donnerstag, 11. Mai 2023, sprach Sabine Mitter vom Bundesministerium für Klimaschutz, Umwelt, Energie, Mobilität, Innovation und Technologie in Wien im Rahmen der Ringvorlesung Technik- und Umweltethik über die Bedeutung internationaler Forschung und Innovation für eine globale Energiewende.

In her Master's thesis at the H-BRS in the Master Visual Computing & Games Technology (MVG) programme, Janelle Pfeifer (M.Sc.) deals with the topic of "Pain simulation in games". Is it possible to make the gamer feel the pain of his or her own virtual avatar through externally added optical, acoustic and tactile stimuli without causing him or her real pain?

Am 10. Mai fand die erste Ringvorlesung aus der Reihe "gemeinam nachhaltig" statt. Professorin Kerstin Rosenow-Williams (H-BRS) und Professor Frieters-Reermann (katho NRW) sprachen zum Klimawandel aus kinderrechtlicher Perspektive und zu den Themen Klimagerechtigkeit und Nachhaltigkeit.

May 1 - May 4, 2023 American University of Kuwait Salmiya, Kuwait - At this year's IEEE EDUCON 2023, Prof. Dr Irene Rothe from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Technical Journalism (H-BRS) and André Kless, Research Associate in the Department of Computer Science (H-BRS), together secured the Best Paper Award in the category "Infrastructure and Technologies for Engineering Education".

Delegation visits partner university in Jordan

A delegation from Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg is travelling to Jordan. Between 18 and 23 March, representatives of the President's Office and the departments will visit the German Jordanian University (GJU) in Amman, with which the H-BRS has been cooperating for years.
