Fancy a year full of science transfer and sustainability research? Then you've come to the right place. The IZNE is a scientific facility and is committed to sustainable development and responsible social action in the areas of teaching, research and transfer, also taking into account the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). It is aimed in particular at political actors in order to create an important basis for political decisions through practical knowledge about sustainability. Research is conducted in four areas: Health and Social Security, Soils and Biomass, Responsible Business and Natural Resources, and Sustainable Technologies and Resource Utilisation.

The ZWT serves as a central contact point for cooperation between the university, industry and society. The work at the ZWT is at the interface between research, practice and the political level. It promotes the transfer between scientific research and practical application and enables an intensive exchange between researchers, commercial enterprises and political actors.
