H-BRS start-ups
People empowered by Start-up-Manufaktur
With the “People empowered by Start-up-Manufaktur” campaign , we’re shining a spotlight on the faces behind the start-up ideas from our university. In fascinating interviews, a total of nine founders speak candidly about what motivates them, where they reach their limits and how they took the plunge.
Dreamytales – Paul Anduschus
Paul Anduschus, who studied business psychology at the H-BRS, runs a company called DreamyTales that sells personalised books whose images and text are generated exclusively by artificial intelligence. Together with his business partner Marcus, he searched extensively for the right product until an idea finally took off: “Your Love Story” – a book that illustrates and tells the story of a couple, tailored precisely to the customers’ wishes every single time.
Meramanis – Kissia Groot Bramel
When you step into the little Café Meramanis on Hansaring in Cologne, your eye is immediately drawn to the wall-sized artwork on the right-hand side. It tells the story of Kissia and her four business partners, and of their love of coffee. The mural depicts astronauts in a coffee-themed cosmos, whose helmets look like coffee cups because the artist felt “that we’ve got nothing but coffee on our minds”, explains Kissia, a young woman from Indonesia who is studying Business Management at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg.
