Institute for IT-Service (ITS)
Training at the Institute for IT Services
In addition to the classic dual vocational training programme for IT specialists and office management clerks, there is also the opportunity to get a taste of our diverse field of work as part of an internship or thesis. We also employ student and research assistants and employees who work in the various teams at ITS alongside their studies and take on their own areas of responsibility.
Dual vocational training
Two different training programmes are offered for dual vocational training:
- the training programme for IT specialists and
- the training programme for office management clerks
The dual vocational training programmes take place partly at the university and partly at the vocational school. This means that our trainees not only receive theoretical knowledge, but also practical knowledge at the same time.
We attach particular importance to intensive support for our trainees, e.g. regular trainee meetings and lab days take place.
Some of our colleagues have started training in ITS themselves and can therefore help with their experience.
Internship
There is also the opportunity to complete an internship at the Institute for IT Service - be it a job-related compulsory internship or voluntary internships, e.g. in preparation for a degree programme.
Student assistants / part-time employees
In addition to trainees and interns, the ITS is supported by student assistants and part-time employees who are studying computer science, IT security, electrical engineering and business administration at the same time.
Supervision of theses, practical projects, doctorates
The academic education has a high priority at our institute and so we are pleased to supervise more and more theses and practical projects.
