Workshop week with guests from Jordan and Lebanon

During the week, we would like to briefly present both projects:

Sustain-JO: Bridging Sustainability Literacy to Jordan
This Jordanian project strengthens the sustainability literacy of students and staff at Jordanian universities. Bilingual (English/Arabic) training modules and interactive workshops are being developed. Following an initial workshop in Jordan in October, the project continued at H-BRS. Project partners include Yarmouk University, the University of Petra and Al-Ahliyya Amman University.

CREATE: Building a Sustainable Ecosystem for Technology-Driven Entrepreneurship
This Lebanese project promotes innovation and entrepreneurship by bringing together students, researchers, businesses and the local community to develop technology-driven solutions to social and economic challenges. Here, too, a previous workshop in Lebanon formed the basis for the meeting at H-BRS. The partner university is the American University of Technology.

As Prof. Dr. Rainer Herpers heads both projects, the workshops were held simultaneously – an opportunity to exploit synergies. Some programme items were therefore held jointly, offering the groups valuable opportunities to learn from each other.

We can look back on an intensive, enriching week of exchange and look forward to the two upcoming dissemination events in December.
