In the research field of technology mediation and acceptance, technology solutions for social and ecological challenges are reflected against the background of their social, ecological and economic effects.

The acceptance of new technologies is researched by analysing quality journalistic media, focus group surveys, individual interviews and group discussions. The analyses provide indications as to why certain technologies are not accepted in society, appear problematic or others are particularly well received. Among other things, the results can be used to derive communication strategies for confidence-building measures.
