Administrative Unit 2: Personnel
Good reasons in favour of H-BRS
Future-orientated
H-BRS has continuously developed and expanded since its foundation, is still doing so and will continue to do so. Millions in research funding have been acquired for the collaboration between business and science. The departments are expanding their spectrum with new degree programmes tailored to demand, and institutes are being created and developed in which H-BRS employees conduct application-oriented research and teaching across departmental boundaries
Strong locations
With its locations in Sankt Augustin, Rheinbach and Hennef, H-BRS boasts a first-class location in the liveable Rhineland. The locations are well connected to public transport and the surrounding area offers a high recreational value. H-BRS is part of the research-intensive scientific region of Bonn and the location enables close cooperation with companies in the region.
Flexible
Whether full-time or part-time: flexible working hours are not only important for employees with families and are possible and common at H-BRS. Another important factor here is the option to do some of your work from home.
Sustainable
The fact that the university pursues the concept of sustainability holistically is not only reflected in the names of the degree programmes (such as Sustainable Social Policy and Sustainable Engineering) or the International Centre for Sustainable Development (IZNE). Employees at H-BRS endeavour to implement the idea of sustainable action in all areas.
Family-friendly
The Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg has already been successfully certified by the family-friendly university audit seven times since 2007. Bcompany nursery places for members of the H-BRS, parent-child workrooms in Rheinbach and Sankt Augustin, mobile children's rooms (KidsBox), the HELP advice centre and much more show that the university takes its social mission seriously.
Diverse
As a co-signatory of the Bonn Declaration for Open-mindedness and Tolerance, H-BRS is committed to a diverse and fair coexistence of all people. The university takes a clear stance against xenophobia, sexism and bullying and attaches great importance to equal opportunities and diversity.
Well-read
In addition to a large selection of specialist literature, fiction, films and radio plays, the university and district library offers employees, students and external visitors many educational and entertaining activities. In the "Guest on the Sofa" series, well-known authors from all walks of life read from their works and then discuss them with the audience. The library provides advice and support for e-learning and answers questions about copyright. Digital books, magazines and audio books can be borrowed free of charge from the "Rhein-Sieg Onleihe" library
