Apprenticeship as an IT specialist
Focus of training:
During your training as an IT specialist, you will learn to manage a wide range of activities and tasks, inform and advise customers and assess standard IT systems and customer-specific solutions. You will specialise in the development, creation and support of IT solutions. Implementing, integrating and testing IT security and data protection measures is also part of your training. You will also learn how to design, implement and operate IT systems and programme software solutions. Another part of your training will be to analyse work and business processes. In addition, ensuring system availability and analysing and planning systems for networking processes and products will be a further component of your training.
You will acquire in-depth theoretical knowledge and practical skills at vocational school and in the training company
Tasks:
- You will get to know and master operating systems (especially Microsoft Windows and Linux) and a wide range of user software.
- You will learn how to set up, install and operate computer systems and computer networks.
- You will qualify in the basics of system programming.
- You will provide support and assistance to users.
Training requirements:
- You have a good A-levels or a very good secondary school leaving certificate with a mathematical-technical focus or good grades in science subjects
- You show an interest in finding problems and solutions in hardware and software
- You are characterised by a strong logical mindset
- Ideally, you have several years of experience in handling and setting up computer systems
- You work independently, carefully and accurately
- You are sociable, a team player and enthusiastic about the IT sector
Training locations:
Sankt Augustin, but you may also be assigned to a department in Rheinbach for a few months. The vocational school is located in Hennef or Bonn.
