Company doctor

The tasks of the company doctor are defined in the Occupational Health and Safety Act. These are in particular

• Advising the employer on all matters relating to medical occupational health and safety
• Conducting occupational medical check-ups
• Operational inspections and workplace inspections
• Motivating employees to comply with occupational health and safety
• Advice on maternity protection
• Improving and enforcing skin protection
• Agreement of occupationally required vaccinations
• Counselling and examinations of employees who see a connection between their illness and their occupational activities

The company doctor is subject to the same duty of medical confidentiality as all other doctors.
