Department of Computer Science: Exam administration now only with Apollo
The examination administration for the Department of Computer Science has been switched from SIS or DIAS to Apollo.(1) Students and examiners in the Department of Computer Science will therefore now only deal with examination-related matters using Apollo - and no longer with SIS or DIAS.

President’s Office decides on strategic partnerships with GJU and UCC
In June, the President’s Office of Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences (H-BRS) approved two strategic partner universities with the German Jordanian University (GJU) in Jordan and the University of Cape Coast (UCC) in Ghana. This decision is a key milestone of the "Take-Off4Internationalisation (TOFI)" project, which is coordinated by the H-BRS International Office. Within the project the International Office has analysed and evaluated the strategic potential of selected partner universities. H-BRS aims to enhance its international profile through deepening cooperation with strategic partners.

Technology and creativity at the open project day in the IWK department
On Friday, July 12, the Department of Engineering and Communication (IWK) at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg once again opened its laboratory doors to the interested public. Just in time for the start of the semester break, students presented the practical projects they had developed during the lecture period. There were creative inventions to marvel at, such as a can press and a solar-powered bird fountain.

Open Project Day and Study Information Day January 2024 (Gallery)
Bei den Studieninformationstagen im Januar 2024 informierte die Hochschule über die Inhalte und Perspektiven ihrer 21 Bachelorstudiengänge. Neben individuellen Beratungsangeboten, Schnuppervorlesungen und Vorträgen waren auch die Labore geöffnet und luden Besucherinnen und Besucher zum Ausprobieren ein. Integriert in das Programm war der „Tag des Offenen Projektes“, bei dem Studierende des Fachbereichs Ingenieurwissenschaften und Kommunikation zeigten, wie sie wissenschaftliche Lerninhalte in praktischen und lebensnahen Projekten umsetzen.

Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg mourns the loss of Professor Ralf Möller, who passed away on 6 July 2024 at the age of 46 after a short, serious illness. He had worked at the Department of Natural Sciences since 2020.
