Programme costs
Information on the costs of the programme
The costs of the programme are as follows:
- Programme fees:
The programme participation fees on the part of Coastal Carolina University amount to $ 1,700 (as of 11/2023).
The fees include on-campus accommodation, meals and the cost of planned cultural activities. - Airfare/personal expenses:
The costs for the flights as well as personal expenses on site are to be covered by yourself and depend on whether you want to extend your stay in the USA.
The airfare is currently estimated by us to be around 900 €.
Depending on the booking period and the flight route, the airfare may be more or less expensive. -
Visa:
ESTA fees for citizens of countries participating in the Visa Waiver Program (see ESTA website) are about 20 €.
For citizens from other countries, a higher visa fee may apply. Information on this can be found on the website of the Embassy of the United States. - The total amount in Euros is as follows:
- Programme fees approx. 1.600,00 €
- Flight costs approx. 900,00 €
- ESTA fees approx. 20,00 €
- Total rounded approx. 2.520,00 €
The department will endeavour to subsidise the costs for you so that your own contribution to the programme costs can be reduced. In the past, it has been possible to reduce your own contribution to the programme costs by several hundred euros. You can find information on this at
