Students Allen Isaac Jose and Kishan Ravindra Sawant from the Master's program in Autonomous Systems (H-BRS) were awarded the AFCEA Study Prize on October 1, 2025, for their outstanding theses.

The non-profit association AFCEA Bonn e.V. has once again awarded its prestigious study prize in 2025. The prize was awarded for outstanding bachelor's and master's theses in computer science, communications and radar technology, automation technology, and robotics. A jury of experts evaluated the submissions from the Aachen–Bonn–Koblenz area and from the German Armed Forces universities in Hamburg and Munich in a demanding peer review process.

The topics ranged from cybersecurity in networked systems to the analysis of unusual radar wave propagation and agent-based control methods. A total of 16 papers were entered into the competition.

The award ceremony took place on October 1, 2025, at the Bonn IT Dialogue. Seven young scientists received a certificate and prize money, presented by Dr. Michael Gerz. The AFCEA Study Prize was endowed with a total of 21,000 euros.
