Barbara Hillen until 2027 Central Equal Opportunities Commissioner
Dr. Barbara Hillen has been appointed Central Equal Opportunity Commissioner at H-BRS for a further four years until the end of May 2027. University President Hartmut Ihne now presented her with the certificate of appointment.

NEiS Cooking Tutorial 2023: Engineering meets Commercial Kitchen
The first NEiS cooking tutorial for students at H-BRS featured a three-course meal made from sustainable ingredients. It was organized by students from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Technical Journalism.

In her Master's thesis at the H-BRS in the Master Visual Computing & Games Technology (MVG) programme, Janelle Pfeifer (M.Sc.) deals with the topic of "Pain simulation in games". Is it possible to make the gamer feel the pain of his or her own virtual avatar through externally added optical, acoustic and tactile stimuli without causing him or her real pain?

Student projects at IMES 2023 in Cambridge
Juliane Karneboge and Claudia Luppertz, both research assistants in the EMT department, participated in the exchange of experiences at the International Material Education Symposium (IMES) in April 2023. The H-BRS lecturers presented posters from their applied project work with students.

Am 10. Mai fand die erste Ringvorlesung aus der Reihe "gemeinam nachhaltig" statt. Professorin Kerstin Rosenow-Williams (H-BRS) und Professor Frieters-Reermann (katho NRW) sprachen zum Klimawandel aus kinderrechtlicher Perspektive und zu den Themen Klimagerechtigkeit und Nachhaltigkeit.
