H-BRS offers FSJ in bioscientific research from September
The FSJ enables volunteers to work on research into inborn errors of metabolism in the working group led by biochemistry professor Jörn Oliver Sass. They learn the basic skills of laboratory work and gain insights into various bioscientific study programmes and professional fields. Ideally, it is not just a case of getting a taste of the lab and helping out in various research projects, but in the end - always under supervision, of course - they can also work on their "own" small project and take on responsibility. Above all, a keen interest in science and the desire to learn new things are important. A high school diploma or university entrance qualification and a solid knowledge of English are expected.
During their twelve-month placement from September 2026, volunteers will receive pocket money. They are entitled to holidays and are covered by social insurance during this time. In accompanying educational seminars, the volunteers can reflect on their practical experience and work on topics from various social and societal areas.
