About 16% of all students in Germany have a health impairment that makes studying more difficult (result of the best3 student survey).

As commisioner for students with disabilities or chronic illnesses, I can advise you on your questions and concerns in this regard. For example, this could be about arranging reasonable adjustments (Nachteilsausgleich). This service is aimed at both students who are already enrolled and prospective students. I will also support you in making contact with other relevant contact points if necessary.

Application for reasonable adjustments (Nachteilsausgleich)

You should submit your application for reasonable adjustments to the examination board for your degree programme. Please also check the relevant provisions in your exam regulations. Find out as early as possible when the application needs to be submitted. A certain amount of time is required to assess applications and implement the necessary measures.

Department of Engineering and Communication

Within the Department of Engineering and Communication, Guido Krause offers advice on reasonable adjustments (Nachteilsausgleich). Students in the department are therefore welcome to contact him.
